Sgt. R. Salas and K-9 Ankie

Sgt. Salas has been with the Chatham County Sheriff's Department since
1991. He is currently assigned as the K-9 Supervisor. Since 1997 he has
successfully completed the following courses: Management of K-9 Unit,
Patrol and advance Detector Dog Training, Ga Post Instructor. K-9 "Ankie"
is a Dutch Shepard trained to detect controlled odors.

Cpl. James Moore

Cpl. Moore has been with the Chatham County Sheriff's Deparmtent since
1992. Cpl. Moore is currently assigned as the Explosive Incident Specialist
of the Chatham County Regional K-9 Team. He is one of our certified K-9
trainers as well as an instructor for both narcotics,explosives and patrol
handlers. Pictured with Cpl. Moore is K-9 "Terra" his retired
K-9. Cpl. Moore's duties include coordinating bomb threat scenes, assisting
agencies with writing bomb threat response plans, critical incident scene
management and training officers to work with their K-9 partners.

Cpl. Michael Street and K-9 Aron

Cpl. Michael Street and K-9 "Aron" Cpl. Street has been with
the Chatham County Sheriff's Department since 1992. He is currently assigned
as a handler and instructor for the Chatham County Regional K-9 Team.
Cpl. Street is also a trainer for the Chatham County Regional K-9 Team.
K-9 Cpl. "Aron" is a rare all black Belgian Malinois. "Aron"
is 8 years old and is trained to sniff out illegal drugs.

Cpl. C. Stanfield and K-9 Titan

Cpl. Stanfield has been the Chatham County Sheriff's Department since
1994. Cpl. Stanfield is assigned as a narcotic handler and instructor.
. K-9 "Titan" is a Belgian Malinois that is trained to sniff
out illegal narcotics.

Adv. Deputy Brian Lee and K-9 Hera

Advanced Deputy Brian Lee and K-9 "Hera". Brian has been with
the Chatham County Sheriff's Department since 1994. Brian's current assignment
is as a narcotics K-9 handler and assistant instructor. K-9 "Hera"
is a 2 year old Belgain Malinois trained to sniff out illegal drugs.

Adv. Deputy J. Harwood and K-9 Ben

Advanced Deputy Jason Harwood and K-9 "Ben". Adv. Deputy Harwood
has been with the Chatham County Sheriff's Department since 1999 and is
currently assigned as a handler and an assistant instructor. Deputy Harwood
has completed the State of Georgia Instructor's course and conducts proficiency
training for other agencies. "Ben" is a German Shepherd trained
to detect explosives and help fight the war on terrorism.

Adv. Deputy Chuck Willoughby and
K-9 Puma

Deputy Willoughby and K-9 Partner 'Puma". Chuck has been with the
K-9 unit since 2002 and has really made an impact on the drug trafficking
in the Savannah area. Chuck is a 5 year veteran of law enforcement and
strives to keep children safe from dangerous drugs. "Puma" is
a Belgium Malinois trained to find marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamines,
and opiates.

Adv. Deputy S. Darnstaedt and K-9
Rekky

Adv. Deputy Stephen Darnstaedt and K-9 "Rekky". Adv. Deputy
Darnstaedt has been with the Chatham County Sheriff's Department since
1993 and is currently assigned as a handler and a assistant instructor.
"Rekky" is a German Shepherd that is trained to detect illegal
narcotics.

Deputy Jason Livie and K-9 Aldo

Deputy Jason Livie is our newest member of the unit. Jason has seven years
law enforcement experience with five of those years working explosive canines.
Deputy Livie is one of our instructors for the basic handlers courses and
annual certifications. Pictured with Deputy Livie is K-9 “Aldo”, an A.T.F.
explosives canine which is assigned to him. “Aldo” is a two year old English
Lab and loves his job. “Aldo” already has a Super Bowl under his belt and has
found numerous guns and even a domestic terrorist explosive stash.
